hey so you guys know the “angus is a silver dragon” theory?
well i found out today that the elvish (specifically quenya) for “dragon” is “ango”.
so please imagine little shapeshifted dragon angus hearing thb call him “ango” for the first time and immediately thinking “shit shit shit how did they know what the fuck” and then realising, “oh wait it’s a coincidence” and then finding it secretly hilarious that they keep calling him “ango”.
alternatively, “ango” means “grandchild” in old noldorin, another tolkein elvish dialect. so imagine that angus’s grandfather named him angus as a double joke: his dragon grandchild. or angus himself picked it as a fake name to disguise his true draconic nature.
either way, when taako figures it out he’s absolutely furious.
when i grow up i want to be a library goblin. i get paid to wander the shelves and be discovered curled up and reading in unlikely places, perhaps hissing if i am interrupted in the middle of a good part. why would a library pay for this service you ask? because it will add to the ambiance next question
